Skiing!

No secret anymore. Big Sky’s skiing popularity has grown. And understandably. Big snow. Big sky. Big space.

Big Sky Stats: 5,800 acres. 300+ ski runs. 4,350′ vertical.
Summit 11,166′. Over 400″ of snowfall annually.
36 lifts including an expert summit tram.

It’s like you’re in the Alps. Big Sky has three private clubs: Yellowstone Club, Spanish Peaks Club and Moonligh Basin Club. But do not fret! There is still plenty of cowboy frontier for the ski community. Also, Big Sky skiers can ski the slopes of Moonlight and Spanish Peaks, just not the private lodges.

From Lone Montain’s pinnacle be sure to look out at Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. Incredible view. iPhones ready.

Make sure you ride the 15 passenger tram up Lone Peak. Take in the view or click in those boots and ski the steeps - ungroomed and double black diamond folks.

Had an extra cup of coffee and want more? Take to the trails off Challenger. Wide open snow bowls. Glades. Headwater chutes.

Too much rodeo’ing last night? Need tame? Go for ‘Swifty’ or Powder Seeker. Heated seats on Powder, just saying. Then, venture on over to Andesite Mountain and hop on Ramcharger for gorgeous long groomed blues.

Just how big is Montana? Ski to Moonlight and check out the northern exposure terrain… this is one of my favorite sites. Meriwether and Lookout are great groomers with typically soft snow facing north.

It really feels European at times due to the massiveness. Overwhelming.

Amazing ski programs. Kids happy hour activities. Aprés for adulting. Good apres!

Big Sky 2025? A Big plan to bring 10 more new lifts. We are ready.
