Nantucket Whaling Museum

Very interesting and a great rainy day activity. Highly recommend going.

A great peek inside what it was like to be part of the demanding and dangerous whaling trade of 18th century (amongst many other trades) with excellent tours, exhibitions, galleries and installations.

At the end you’ll want to climb the circular staircase to Tucker’s Roofwalk. Incredible panorama of the harbor. Very meaningful after learning about the changing scene governed by the season and the weather.

Allow yourself 2-3 hours. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Nantucket is such a storied island… don’t miss this.
