Mardi Gras
I love the uptown parades and the more familial feel of the crowd.
If you are going to Mardi Gras with kids... avoid going anywhere near downtown and stay in close to Napoleon.
Bring a cooler with you and throw in wipes and lots of water for the kids. If you talk to people with ladders, food, coolers, etc. they are likely locals and will have lots of advice!
