Bacchanal

New Orleans Ninth Ward 21 and Older Wine Laboratory + Jazz = The Ultimate NOLA Patio Party

Post Katrina, New Orleanian chefs would cook for the crowds on Bacchanal Sundays which was later featured on the HBO's series Treme. This launched Bacchanal and its neighborhood to an all new height in supporting, celebrating and embracing the people of New Orleans... a feeling that will overwhelm you at this joint!

My favorite part? Upon entrance - make note there may be a line - you can create your own meat and fromage board with adventurous accoutrement right in the middle of a reasonably priced wine shop. There are penty of helpers, too.

Or if you prefer, just walk on through the meat, cheese and wine shop and belly up to the upstairs bar. There is seating inside, but who would do that when you can sit in this eclectic yard, with hanging lights, live music, and mismatched tables and chairs!

The food is unbelievable, as the menu constantly changes. It's clean eating with plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options. It's located in the Bywater, so it can be a bit of a trek to get there. Take an Uber and enjoy the scenic route.
