Back in the 1920s, a French Canadian ex-bootlegger by the name of Tex Cushion ran teams of dogs into Mammoth and this was their only means for travel.

To experience this traditional mode of travel… and I highly recommend you do… you can bring your own dogs, tack and other necessary equipment or get more information through the Mammoth Trail System site below.
